The Witch
Directed by Robert Eggers
A family. A forest. Something watching.
New England, 1630. A family starts over at the edge of a forbidding forest. When their youngest child vanishes, faith gives way to suspicion, and the woods seem to inch closer.
Why it stays with you
Patient, beautifully composed dread that makes a rustling tree feel like a threat. Best watched with the lights off and your phone in another room.
